Computer and Internet FAQ

Which type of Browser should I be using?

For maximum viewing we recommend Netscape Navigator (new window) 4.7 or higher, Microsoft's Internet Explorer (new window) 5.02 or higher, and AOL 5.0.

The use of beta browser versions is not recommended.

What are "cookies" and why do I need them?

A "cookie" is a temporary ID number assigned by WaMuIns.com to your browser each time you visit (like a visitor's badge) that lets us deliver content to you based on preferences you have selected - such as your age of investment knowledge. We do not give this information to any other entity, and as we do not accept advertising on our site your movement is not tracked by any other agency.

The latest browsers including Netscape Navigator™ 4.0+ and Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0+ give users the option of disabling the "cookie." Doing so means that a "cookie" cannot be created or read from the browser, this will disable the personalization aspects of our site and you will not be able to surf any password protected sites. Our cookies can only be read by our server, when you visit any site other than WaMuIns.com, other computers can not read your WaMuIns.com cookie.

Every time I type in the www.wamuins.com address I keep getting a message
that I do not have "DNS Entry." What is wrong?

This generally indicates that the browser is not making a connection with your local provider (ISP). That is, the local provider probably hasn't been contacted or has lost connection.

I am typing www.wamuins.com and I am receiving a message
that your address does not exist. Am I typing the correct address?

Firstly, verify, in fact, that you are entering the valid Internet address - http://www.wamuins.com It is possible that one of the routers which is routing your transaction to our servers from your local Internet Service Provider (ISP), for whatever reason, no longer recognizes www.wamuins.com as a valid address. This problem will need to be rectified immediately. It is recommended that you contact your local ISP so that they can place a trace on your transaction.

I am typing www.wamuins.com and I am receiving a message that
"Document Contains No Data." What is the problem?

First try reloading the page:

  • Internet Explorer
Click the Refresh button on the navigation bar while depressing the "Shift" key on your keyboard.
  • On Netscape
Click the "Reload" button while depressing the "shift" key on your keyboard.

If you still receive the same message you should immediate notify us either by email or by calling 1 800 -685-9551
